Japan pledges to continue to support Sri Lanka

Japan has appreciated the progress made by Sri Lanka since the end of the conflict and has pledged to assist Sri Lanka in addressing the tasks ahead. Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Koichiro Gemba made this statement during bilateral discussions with Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris in Tokyo today. Minister Peiris had given a detailed account of current developments in the Economy and reconciliation process to his Japanese counterpart.  He also thanked the government of Japan for its consistent support.
